In Wiesbaden-Biebrich, a 21-year-old man was subjected to anti-LGBTQ+ harassment and physically assaulted, police said on Friday. The incident happened on the evening of June 22, but authorities only learned of it on July 15. The young man was near 6:20 p.m. on Am Parkfeld street when he encountered a group of six to eight youths. From the group, he was subjected to homophobic insults and spat on by one person. In the course of the confrontation, a teenager riding an electric scooter rode past and struck the 21-year-old. Additionally, stones were reportedly thrown toward him.
The Wiesbaden State Protection unit has taken over the investigation and asks witnesses who can provide information about the incident or the group to come forward.
