Sat.1 has unveiled the cast for the new season of Promi Big Brother. At a reveal event Wednesday evening at the Capitol Theater in Düsseldorf, the network introduced the first ten housemates. The premiere is set for Monday, October 5, at 8:15 p.m. live on Sat.1. This season, everything unfolds in the Big Brother house’s garden.
The two most high-profile names in this round come from sports and music: boxing legend Axel Schulz (57) and Nadja Benaissa (44), the vocalist of No Angels.
For Axel Schulz, it’s his first reality show
Schulz rose to fame in the nineties as a heavyweight boxer and became a fan favorite before retiring from professional boxing in 1999. He has never before ventured into reality TV. “Promi Big Brother” is, according to the network, his first format of this kind.
Living in close quarters with a group of strangers likely doesn’t scare him. “Back in training camps I used to sleep in a large room or in gymnasiums with 20 to 25 people,” the 57-year-old is quoted in the release.
Nadja Benaissa aims to open up
Benaissa rose to fame in 2000 with the first season of “Popstars” and went on to become one of the country’s biggest pop stars as a member of No Angels. Most recently, she appeared this year on “Let’s Dance.”
What she hopes to gain from weeks under constant observation is captured in her words: “I want to open up more and show who I am. Promi Big Brother will be an absolutely unique experience for me.”

These eight will also move in
Completing the first lineup is restaurateur Redo (57), known as a social media phenomenon and who has run his own business for more than 35 years. He wonders what would be left of him if everything were taken away.
Joining him are reality-star Maurice Dziwak (28), known from “Promis unter Palmen” and the Jungle Camp, and former professional footballer Christian Lell (42), who twice won the league and cup double with FC Bayern. Lell plans to use his time in the container as a personal reset and to maintain his meditative lifestyle.
Also in: podcaster Gia Georgina (37), who has become known as the ex-partner of Sido and now co-hosts the show “The Real Ex-Wives” with Sido’s ex-wife Charlotte Engelhardt. Actor Gedeon Burkhard (57), famous for “Kommissar Rex” and later seen in “Inglourious Basterds,” has one wish: no snoring roommates.
The younger crowd includes streamer Nina Bridney (23), whose personal record stands at a 13-hour livestream. Also moving in are “Germany’s Next Top Model” finalist Godfrey Egbon (35) and Swiss “Bachelor” winner Francesca Morgese (28). Egbon’s goal is to win, “as long as I don’t come off as too many people’s least favorite.”
Several spots still open
In recent seasons of Promi Big Brother, twelve and eighteen celebrities respectively took part. So it’s possible that more entrants will join. Tabloid outlets have floated two queer stars as potential additions: Nadine Angerer, a two-time Women’s World Cup champion who is married to a woman, and pop singer Patrick Lindner. Lindner has already amassed reality TV experience: he appeared on Let’s Dance in 2012 (RTL), took part in Das große Promibacken on Sat.1 in 2018, and in 2021 joined Die Herzblut-Aufgabe – Promis in der Pflege (Sat.1) and appeared in several episodes of ARD’s Verrückt nach Meer.

As usual, Marlene Lufen and Jochen Schropp will host the daily live shows. Afterward, Sat.1 airs “Promi Big Brother – The Late Night Show.” Fans can follow the action in a 24-hour livestream on Joyn from the moment the cast moves in through the finale.
