Supermodel and model-mom Heidi Klum (52, “Germany’s Next Topmodel”) and German blockbuster filmmaker Roland Emmerich (70, “Independence Day”) will come to Hamburg in May to speak at the Digital and Marketing trade show OMR. They represent two global careers “Made in Germany,” the organizers announced in Hamburg.
Indispensable in their industries
Klum, who since the 1990s has shaped the industry with international campaigns and has since produced 21 seasons of “Germany’s Next Topmodel” as well as U.S. formats such as “Project Runway” and “America’s Got Talent,” has long established herself as a fixture in international entertainment. She is also successful as a brand ambassador and entrepreneur.
The openly gay filmmaker Roland Emmerich is also an institution in his field. With action, disaster and science-fiction films such as “Independence Day,” “Godzilla,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” and “Stargate,” the Swabian director rose to fame. He has demonstrated entrepreneurial foresight and helped redefine the modern blockbuster genre.
