In Love with the Traitor

After the death of his mother, the werewolf Robbie Fontaine drifted from pack to pack—ever searching for a place he could truly call home. Yet nowhere could he find the security he longed for; time and again he teetered on losing control of his wolf. It isn’t until he finds himself among Alpha-wolf Michelle Hughes’s pack that he finally feels settled, thriving as her right-hand and earning high regard.

But when troubling rumors from Maine surface about a renegade pack and the use of unpredictable magic, Robbie is tasked with hunting down the traitors. Yet one of the suspects, Kelly Bennett, stirs in him more than professional curiosity—and soon Robbie’s painstakingly built life begins to unravel…

With Heartsong, following Wolf Song and Raven Song, the third volume in the queer fantasy series Green Creek, arrives. The German translation is by Michael Pfingstl. The novel is published by Munich’s Heyne Verlag as a 640-page paperback (€18), as an e-book (€13.99), and as an audiobook (€29.95). A sample is available on the publisher’s site. The fourth volume, The Brother’s Song, is scheduled for February 11, 2026.

The author T. J. Klune picked up a pen at the age of six and wrote a passionate fan fiction for the video game Super Metroid—much to his disappointment, the company never responded. His love of storytelling, however, stayed with him. After several years as a claims adjuster at an insurance company, Klune now dedicates himself fully to writing. For his outstanding queer characters, he has been honored with the Lambda Literary Award. His international breakthrough came with the novel Mr. Parnassus’ Home for the Magically Gifted.
