Konstanz Celebrates Loved Ones in Every Facet

As the light over Lake Constance changes and Konstanz’s old town sinks into autumnal calm, a season begins in which the city reveals its quiet, beautiful side. It is a time for small escapes from everyday life — for a slow, unhurried stroll, curated shop windows, warm conversations over coffee, and the view of a landscape that takes your breath away for a moment.

Reconnecting Anew

Konstanz doesn’t reinvent itself during this interlude, but it feels different — with a refined sensitivity for atmosphere, connection, and the right measure of serenity. Between small, lovingly run boutiques and the LAGO Shopping Center, a contrast emerges between old-town charm and urban design-consciousness. Shopping here isn’t a duty, but a ritual — guided by genuine advice rather than mere trends.
Under the motto “Shopping with Your Favorite Person,” the city deliberately opens space for togetherness — no matter what that looks like. A weekend wandering the streets together, showing each other outfits, taking a wellness break, or sharing what you’ve experienced at a restaurant in the evening — what otherwise slips between appointments gains time again here.

That Konstanz doesn’t have to be loud is part of its appeal. Whether at the harbor with a view toward the Alps or in the Asisi Panorama with a shift in perspective — the place invites you to simply be. Perhaps, to reconnect as well.
The arrangement “Shopping with Your Favorite Person” is intentionally open-ended. For friends. For couples. For favorite people — as diverse as life itself. It runs from October 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

Booking is straightforward: on the official website simply pick a participating hotel, and reserve one or two nights under the heading “Shopping with Your Favorite Person.” Upon arrival there’s a postcard in the hotel that lets you secure small perks with participating partners — whether a free city tour, a ride on the Ferris wheel, a complimentary drink, or a discount on shopping. There’s something for everyone. And sometimes, it’s precisely this “something” that turns a weekend into a memory. (dd/pm)
