The capital’s police are seeking the public’s help in a case that is now two years old. By releasing four photographs, Berlin police are asking for information about an as-yet unidentified man who, on the evening of July 6, 2023, on Reichenberger Street in Kreuzberg, allegedly directed queer- and misogynistic insults at two women together with three other men.
After the verbal confrontation, the situation escalated into a physical assault. The two women—then aged 27 and 31—were knocked to the ground by punches and kicks; the 27-year-old briefly lost consciousness, while the 31-year-old suffered pain and a head laceration. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM.
The investigators are now asking: Who can provide information about the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect? Who saw the suspect before, during, or after the crime? Who can supply additional pertinent details?
