Kaulitz Brothers Delight Fans With Photo From the “Wetten, dass..?” Sofa

Bill and Tom Kaulitz (37) are counting down the days until their hosting turn on Wetten, dass..?, the legendary ZDF cult show. On December 5, they will lead a special edition. For a photo, the twins have already claimed a spot on a sofa. Bill Kaulitz shared the snapshot on Instagram.

In the shot, the brothers beam into the camera: Bill is dressed in a silver, shiny suit with high-heeled boots, while Tom wears a blue velvet suit. A second photo shows them standing in front of a photo backdrop. “53 more sleeps until @wettendass,” the Tokio Hotel singer captioned the post.

Rebecca Mir and Co. Anticipate the Show

Under the post, fans and fellow celebrities joined in the excitement. “Yeeah,” commented host Rebecca Mir. “This is going to be epic,” Palina Rojinski predicts. Entertainer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla writes: “So cool.” Bill Kaulitz’s close friend Sara Alviti promises she will learn German for the program. TV presenter Marlene Lufen can’t wait either. “Aaaaaah, I’m already so excited!!!” she exclaimed.

Even the twins’ followers can hardly contain themselves. Comments such as “This is going to be amazing!”, “So hyped,” or “I’m really looking forward to it!” appear in the threads. One fan even predicts a ratings slam for ZDF.

The Twins Want to Stir Things Up

Bill and Tom Kaulitz are taking over from Thomas Gottschalk (76), who said goodbye to “Wetten, dass..?” on November 25, 2023. After a three-year pause, the beloved show returns on December 5. ZDF will broadcast live from Halle an der Saale starting at 8:15 p.m. local time.

The brothers want to give the show their own signature. “We know we’ll ruffle some feathers—and that’s exactly what we want!” Bill Kaulitz said at the official January announcement. “This assignment is a great honor, and the trust from ZDF makes us proud.” Tom also admitted that, given the live, prime-time format, they are “incredibly excited.”

A One-Off Thing

A permanent takeover isn’t on the table. Tom emphasized in June on the MagentaTV program “Bestbesetzung” that the brothers had agreed to do just a single edition with ZDF. They told the ZDF team, “Guys, let’s do one show, because we want to keep touring and focus on other projects as well.”
