As details have only recently come to light, the well-known American porn performer Dale Savage died on June 19 at the age of 62 from complications of a sudden stroke. This was announced by his partner, photographer Anthony Duran of Ducato Studios, via social media.
“I am still in shock, and it’s hard to find the words for this message,” reads the statement released by Duran. “After an intense and successful career, he retired about three years ago to enjoy a quiet life in Vail, Colorado. Love never dies. Until we meet again.”
Career Start at 50
Savage, who had worked as a firefighter before entering the adult entertainment industry, began his career in adulthood at the age of 50. In a remarkably short time, he became a fixture and one of the most recognizable faces in the queer and gay adult-entertainment scene, where he described himself as a pansexual “Muscle Daddy.”
During his roughly ten-year active career, he worked with leading studios in the industry, such as Raging Stallion or Disruptive Films. His films bore titles like “Let Me Help You,” “Daddy’s Fist,” or “A Virgin No More.”
Following the news of his death, colleagues and fans around the world expressed their condolences on social media and praised him as approachable, warm-hearted, and a valued companion to the community. Photographer Gio Caruso wrote on X: “The death of Dale Savage is heartbreaking. He was a kind man with a big heart. We had many deep and meaningful conversations about life, relationships, and our shared love of travel. I’m sure his dogs miss their dad. Rest in peace, my friend.”
