Aldiana: Between Ski Slopes and Club Nights

After the final run, you head back to a club hotel where the evening program is already organized. This club-vacation concept is something Aldiana brings to four fairly different locations in Austria. At Nassfeld and Hochkönig, alpine winter sports shape the stay. In the Salzkammergut, a thermal spa is added, and in Ampflwang, horseback riding and family-oriented offerings define the profile.
What unites the Club Resorts is the combination of lodging and a structured leisure program. Guided activities can especially create opportunities for solo travelers to meet other guests. It can also appeal to queer couples or friends traveling together. How much social interaction you want on vacation is, however, a matter of personal preference.

Particularly close to the slopes is the Aldiana Club Schlanitzen Alm in Carinthia. The property sits at roughly 1,400 meters (about 4,600 feet) above sea level on Nassfeld, directly at the lift. According to the provider, the ski pass and guided tours through the ski area are included in the package price. How many ski days are included depends, among other things, on the length of the stay. Ski lessons are billed separately. For skiers, this distinction matters: the accompaniment by local, knowledgeable guides helps with orientation in the ski area and does not replace lessons.

Music at Nassfeld and Thermal Waters in Ausseerland

For the 2026/27 winter season, Schlanitzen Alm is also betting on music. From February 20 to 27, 2027, the “Schlani Alpenbeats” are announced. The plan calls for concerts and parties to take place after skiing in the club complex. The event week is thus aimed mainly at guests who want evening program after a day on the slopes.
The Aldiana Club Hochkönig in Mühlbach in the state of Salzburg is another site for alpine winter holidays. The Hochkönig ski area, part of Ski amadé, includes around 120 kilometers of runs. A free shuttle bus connects the hotel to the base station of the Karbachalm Bahn. Here, too, Aldiana offers guided tours through the ski area. The ski pass must be paid separately, unlike at Schlanitzen Alm. So comparing vacation prices requires looking at the included services.

In the Aldiana Club Salzkammergut in Bad Mitterndorf, the winter day can be divided differently. For downhill skiing, the Tauplitz area is nearby; there are also opportunities for cross-country skiing and winter walks. Directly connected to the hotel is the GrimmingTherme. Club guests reach it via a robe-walkway, and admission is included. That means there’s also a way to spend time outside the room even on days without fresh snow.

Family Vacations and the Ski-Guarantee Terms

The Aldiana Club Ampflwang in Upper Austria sits in the Hausruckwald. Here, equestrian sports and children’s activities shape the program. The facility includes a riding school with two arenas and the roughly 500-square-meter Flosse Abenteuerland. There are also tennis and other indoor sports, as well as childcare. For rainbow families, such offerings can play a role in vacation planning as well as room layout or shared free time.
For the Hochkönig and Schlanitzen Alm clubs, Aldiana has also announced a ski guarantee. It applies to new bookings from October 15, 2026. A free cancellation is possible if seven days before arrival less than 50 percent of the lifts in the respective ski area are open.

At Hochkönig, the applicable travel window runs from January 1 to February 28, 2027, and at Schlanitzen Alm from December 12, 2026 to March 31, 2027. What matters is lift operation on a fixed date, not guaranteed snow conditions for the entire stay.

Aldiana markets itself as “vacation among friends.” For queer guests, this promise also means a natural respect for different ways of living.
