In the early hours of Sunday, a 20-year-old man in Frankfurt, Germany, repeatedly subjected a 19-year-old man to homophobic insults. The incident was reported by the police department for the Hessian metropolis on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police report, a dispatched patrol encountered the suspect, the victim, and additional witnesses at Rathenauplatz around 2:15 a.m. The victim said he had been insulted twice by the 20-year-old.
Identities of all involved parties were recorded. The 20-year-old was placed under investigation on the scene. After the police completed their procedures, he was released.
Earlier on Wednesday, there had been a homophobic assault in Frankfurt’s Grüneburg Park targeting two gay men (TheColu.mn reported). Last weekend, Frankfurt police reported a hate-related incident at an S-Bahn station in which two men were insulted and then physically assaulted (TheColu.mn reported).
