At the Christopher Street Day (CSD) event last weekend in Hameln, police issued a dispersal order to four young men. Prior to that, they allegedly provoked participants in the queer demonstration, according to the Deister- und Weserzeitung (paywalled article).
The four, aged 17 to 19, are believed to belong to the far-right scene. Photos and videos show several of the youths wearing combat boots, and one of them wearing a bomber jacket over a T-shirt from the brand Lonsdale.
For the CSD participants, the situation was described as “threatening,” said Larissa Nitschke, spokesperson for the Left Youth, to the regional newspaper. About 20 people confronted the disruptors with chants of “Nazis out” and tried to drive them away from the event site.
“Based on reports that these two groups held different views, the four-person group, who were not participants in the gathering, were issued dispersal orders to prevent any danger,” police spokeswoman Stefanie Ockenfeld explained regarding the incident. The youths then left. According to police, there were no criminal offenses. The state security service is reviewing the case.
