Joop Team Excited by Interest in Lifetime Achievement Exhibition

The team around designer Wolfgang Joop has expressed clear enthusiasm about the level of interest in a showcase dedicated to the life’s work of the 80-year-old designer in Potsdam. The exhibition has drawn overwhelming support, the Kunstraum Potsdam announced on Instagram at the halfway mark of the show.
Joop’s longtime partner, Edwin Lemberg, told the German press agency: “We couldn’t be happier.” Many visitors reported feeling deeply moved by the exhibition and thus return multiple times. Long lines formed outside the gallery.
The exhibition, conceived by Lemberg and a team, is still on view through November 18 at the Kunstraum Potsdam. Joop will turn 81 on that day. The queer designer is for the first time presenting in Potsdam the full spectrum of his artistic work—besides fashion, also drawings, paintings, and sculptures.
