For her cooking talk, Margot Schlönzke invites stars, rising talents, and fresh newcomers to chat and sing while chopping, mincing, sizzling, cooking, and frying together. Along the way, she gently draws private stories from her guests and reveals them in an unusually intimate light. Culinary expertise is more of a hindrance here, because the cooking happens like at home—where sometimes things go sideways.
Masks come off, aprons stay on
When cooking, all masks come off, only the aprons stay on. The whole event is shown not only live on stage but also in the BKA livestream. A sampling of the hotly contested delicacies, however, remains reserved for the theater audience—if the host has any leftovers.
The run kicks off on August 23 with Tobi & Ursli of the Pfister siblings at 3:00 PM at the BKA Theater, 34 Mehringdamm, Berlin-Kreuzberg. On November 15, Elke Winter will be a guest, and on December 13 Klaus Wowereit will show his prowess at the pots. Tickets are available from €24.20. (dd/pm)
