A 26-year-old individual from the queer community was insulted and assaulted by a man in Frankfurt early Sunday morning, according to police. The incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. at Konstablerwache, the authorities said. The suspect, described as unknown, allegedly insulted the person because of their clothing and struck them with an open hand behind the ear. The attacker then fled. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
Attack on Casparistraße
Frankfurt police are also seeking five additional individuals who, on Sunday morning in Casparistraße, allegedly insulted and threatened a 42-year-old person, presumably because of their sexual orientation.
Initial findings indicate that the person had arranged to meet an unknown man there. Suddenly four youths or young adults appeared and began insulting and threatening the person. One of the men reportedly carried a hammer. As the harmed individual walked toward their car, a fifth suspect joined the group. Further insults were then directed at the person’s sexual orientation. The affected person was eventually able to leave the scene by car.
