Two men in Frankfurt’s downtown reportedly directed anti-queer insults at two people and then assaulted them physically. The suspects initially taunted the victims on the night leading into Saturday, according to the police. “The insults were aimed at their appearance and were clearly anti-queer.”
The men allegedly grew more aggressive and threatened the two individuals, who were 21 and 26 years old. As the two attempted to leave, one person was struck on the back of the head and the other was restrained. The victims managed to escape, police said. The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. in front of the S-Bahn tracks at Hauptwache.
The suspects were not located during a search, police said. They are described in the police report as: “1. Male, juvenile/young adult, short curly dark hair, dark eyes, goatee; black clothing, red crossbody bag with a red stripe. 2. Male, juvenile/young adult; light gray tracksuit, dark cap.”
