It’s “Au revoir” for “Emily in Paris”: the Netflix hit series will end after its sixth season. On Instagram the streaming platform announced that the upcoming season will be the last. “After six years, many cities, and countless memories, the final season is here—and it promises an unforgettable farewell,” Netflix declared, posting a video to go with it.
In the video, Emily star Lily Collins (37) explains that the finishing episodes are currently being shot. Collins also announced that the sixth season will give fans everything they love about the show and will serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventures. In the comments, fans voiced their sadness about the show’s end.
In the romantic comedy, the story follows ambitious marketing expert Emily from Chicago who moves to work in France’s capital. Season 5 of the hit series, which premiered in December 2025, also took viewers to Rome and Venice. Media reports say filming for the sixth season will also take place in Greece and Monaco. Alongside Collins, the cast includes Ashley Park as Emily’s friend Mindy, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as her boss Sylvie, and Lucas Bravo as the handsome chef Gabriel. “Emily in Paris” also features several queer characters.
The series from the gay “Sex and the City” creator Darren Star ranks among Netflix’s biggest hits. Season 5, according to Netflix, drew 26.8 million views within eleven days of its release.
