The Baseballs and T-Seven Team Up to Raise AIDS Awareness

The benefit gala “Künstler gegen Aids” will take place on November 2 for the 22nd time at Berlin’s Stage Theater des Westens. The proceeds will go to the support services of Berlin AIDS Help, as organizers announced. The evening will be hosted by actress and presenter Annabelle Mandeng, who sits on the AIDS Help’s board. Patrons are Judy Winter and Klaus Wowereit.

On the bill are, among others, the rock-‘n’-roll band The Baseballs, T-Seven, who rose to fame in the 1990s with Mr. President and hits like “Coco Jamboo,” the Berlin a cappella quartet German Gents, and entertainer Sven Ratzke. Also featured are acrobatic and dance performances, as well as a performance by the ensemble from “Wir sind am Leben,” the Berlin musical by Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer. At the after-show party in the Spiegelsaal, Ades Zabel and Miss Ivanka T. will spin the tunes. All participants waive their fees.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost 50, 75, or 100 euros and are available through the Papagena ticket line (030 47997474), online at kuenstlergegenaids.de, and at Comfortticket pre-sale outlets. Premium tickets priced at 175 euros, which include a pre-reception, are available exclusively from Berlin AIDS Help, as are tickets for wheelchair-accessible seating.
