As part of the Christopher Street Day celebrations in Bensheim on Saturday, Katrin Hechler, the State Secretary for Social Affairs (SPD), presented the Fabian Salars Erbe – for Tolerance and Civil Courage e. V. (FSE) with a grant award of approximately 100,000 euros. The FSE receives the funds as the operator of the Anti-Discrimination Network in Southern Hesse (AdiNet Südhessen) for the period from April 2026 through the end of March 2027.
“AdiNet Südhessen has been connecting people and organizations from the queer community since 2019, raising awareness and carrying out important public outreach,” Hechler explained during the handover. “Our funding is not merely financial support; it is also a recognition of the tireless dedication of the FSE association and all participants who work every day for human rights, diversity, and a discriminatory-free society. Diversity is our strength, and solidarity makes us strong!”
Platform for Networking in Rural Areas
AdiNet Südhessen serves as a platform that brings together interested individuals, clubs, institutions, and projects that actively combat discrimination. In the current funding period, the emphasis includes connecting actors in rural areas through regular meetings, providing digital exchange formats and newsletters, as well as concrete measures such as FLINTA*-brunches. The program also encompasses professional exchanges, action days, and public outreach on the topic of discrimination in the labor market, as well as exchange formats for employers and employees in the region.
