Pantisano Slams BVG for Running Ads for an Anti-LGBTQ Magazine

Berlin’s queer commissioner Alfonso Pantisano (SPD) publicly blasted the city’s transit authority BVG on Instagram for running advertisements for the right-wing populist outrage portal NIUS. According to a report in taz, NIUS is currently advertising on BVG buses with the slogan: “By 6 a.m. you’ll know what will be kept from you by 8 p.m.” The portal leans on its conspiracy theory that publicly funded news outlets like the Tagesschau aim to indoctrinate audiences rather than report neutrally.
