CSD Ticket to Cologne Pride: Bus and Train Access

To mark Christopher Street Day in Cologne, Germany, the Rhine-Sieg Transport Association (VRS) and the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV), together with the member transit operators, are offering a discounted weekend public transit ticket under the new Rheinlandtarif. The so-called CSD Ticket costs 24 euros and is valid for one person. It runs from Friday, July 3, starting at 2:00 p.m. through Sunday, July 5, until 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning.

With this ticket, riders can travel not only within Cologne but across the entire Rheinland network. It also covers cross-border trips to the VRR (Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association), in Meinerzhagen (VRL), in the Ahrweiler district in Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as on selected routes in Olpe and Drolshagen (VGWS) and in the Rhineland-Palatinate districts of Altenkirchen, Neuwied and Vulkaneifel.

Not valid is the ticket in the VRR tariff zones of the large border traffic, including Mönchengladbach, Neuss, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal. In cross-border traffic between Kreis Heinsberg and the VRS communities of the large border traffic, journeys via these VRR communities are however possible.

The CSD Ticket has been available since June 1 through the VRS app as well as the online ticket shops of the transit operators.
