Hengameh Yaghoobifarah Makes a Comeback on ‘Auf eine Tüte’

After nearly four years away, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah’s podcast “One Bag, Please” returns. This time it’s also a video podcast, produced by the Berlin studio Soma.

Every two weeks, Yaghoobifarah invites guests from the culture, film, and literary scenes — over snacks, drinks, and other intoxicants. “In a relaxed, familiar atmosphere, Hengameh guides conversations through categories like Trashbag, Showstopper, It-Bag, and the famous emotional Baggage: these conversations become deep, insightful discussions about zeitgeist, fashion, and politics, with the occasional hot take,” says a press release.

The first two episodes are now available. Hengameh Yaghoobifarah speaks with the multiple-award-winning music and culture journalist Aida Baghernejad, as well as with American author Ocean Vuong, whose internationally acclaimed novel On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous has decisively shaped the visibility of queer, migrant voices in contemporary literature.

My name is Marcy Ellerton, and I’ve been telling stories since I could hold a pen. As a queer journalist based in Minneapolis, I cover everything from grassroots activism to the everyday moments that make our community shine. When I’m not chasing a story, you’ll probably find me in a coffee shop, scribbling notes in a well-worn notebook and eavesdropping just enough to catch the next lead.
