Air France was recognized multiple times at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025, held as part of the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France. For the fifth consecutive year, the French airline was named “Best Airline in Western Europe.” Additionally, with La Première it claimed first place in two categories: “Best First Class Lounge Dining” and “Best First Class Comfort.” Overall, Air France improved one spot in the global ranking compared with 2024, rising to No. 8.
“We are continuing to invest heavily in enhancing the customer experience across all travel cabins,” explains Fabien Pelous, SVP Customer Experience, Air France. “These prestigious awards recognize this effort and the commitment of all our teams—from on the ground to in the air. They inspire us to showcase the French art of travel even more on a worldwide scale. I would like to thank all our customers for their trust and loyalty.”
La Première: Travel at the Highest Level
Just weeks ago, Air France unveiled the completely redesigned La Première experience. From the moment La Première guests arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, they are treated to a wholly private journey. In the La Première lounge, which now features private suites, dining takes center stage. The menu, along with the wine and champagne list, is curated by Alain Ducasse and his team. Highlights include Ducasse’s famous black-truffle pasta with ham and the rum baba or Armagnac baba, an homage to Monte-Carlo.
The new La Première Suite onboard, gradually rolling out across selected Boeing 777-300 aircraft, spans five windows — an Air France exclusive. To create an unparalleled sense of space, overhead compartments have been replaced with floor-level storage. The suite includes a seat and a chaise longue that can be converted into a real bed. The seat adapts to different flight phases: takeoff, landing, dining, or relaxation mode. With soft ergonomic padding, it hugs the body for optimal comfort. The chaise longue opposite offers the perfect place to stretch out while staying seated — ideal for reading or watching a movie. For maximum sleep comfort, it can easily be transformed into a completely flat bed two meters long and 75 centimeters wide. Each of the four suites is enclosed by a thick, floor-to-ceiling curtain, ensuring absolute privacy and a calm atmosphere.
During the flight, Air France presents La Première guests with an elegant Amenity Kit in the two signature colors of the La Première universe — pearl gray and red — embossed with the airline’s historic winged seahorse emblem. The refined leather case contains a selection of four skincare products from the French brand Sisley. With a spacious airport lounge, a private onboard suite, three-star dining, a carefully curated wine and champagne list, and restful nights at cruising altitude of about 35,000 feet, every leg of the La Première journey becomes an unforgettable experience.
