Entertainer Désirée Nick (69) and fashion designer Harald Glööckler (60) will be taking part this year in Sat.1’s reality show “Promi Big Brother,” the network announced on Wednesday.
“They provoke. He fascinates. She needles. He shines. She shows no mercy. He knows only glamour,” Sat.1 summarized the core dynamics of the two contestants. Earlier, the network had already announced a dozen more or less famous participants who, according to Sat.1, were already living cut off from the outside world in a “Celebrity Hotel.” Glööckler and Nick are expected to move into the containers as surprise guests.
When asked what he’s bringing to the show, Glööckler replied: “I’m bringing myself — that should be more than enough. I simply want to have a good time. You should always go into something with a clear idea of what you’re getting into, and then you commit to it.”
Glööckler already has substantial reality-TV experience: in 2022 he took part in “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” and was eliminated only in the semifinal. Afterward, he appeared on several RTL formats, most recently the reality show “Herr Glööckler sucht das Glück.” The program was canceled after two seasons due to weak ratings (TheColu.mn reported).
“I am slavishly copied everywhere”
Nick, the second Jungle Queen from 2004, also brings considerable reality-TV experience. She already participated in “Promi Big Brother” in 2015. “I basically made reality TV acceptable to mainstream audiences!” the 69-year-old asserted with her characteristic understated tone. “The most legendary scenes from reality shows that wrote TV history are simply copied and reenacted. They originate from me and achieved ratings that have never been matched.” The majority of the other participants, she continued, have “completely faded into obscurity.” “I, on the other hand, am copied slavishly everywhere.”
Nick went on: “The oldest ‘Playboy’ cover girl in Europe is now also set to become the best-paid reality star of all time. Those two superlatives fit together nicely.”

In addition to Harald Glööckler and Désirée Nick, the following celebrities will also participate in the show: Andrej Mangold (“The Bachelor”), Sarah-Jane Wollny (“Die Wollnys”), pop singer Achim Petry, Michael Naseband (“K11 – Police on the Case”), Christina Dimitriou (“Temptation Island”), Laura Blond (“Love Island”), TikTok mom Karina2you, singer Marc Terenzi, actress Doreen Dietel, Paco Herb (“Love Island”), Pinar Sevim (“Mimi und Pinars Welt”), as well as content creator Satansbratan.
