The Face of HIV

The Face of HIV is a multimedia project that features real Minnesotans living with HIV. The project includes a book that shares their stories and the project is hoping to raise enough money to get off the ground. It’s a charitable venture and a percentage of all proceeds will go to benefit the Aliveness Project in Minneapolis.

Photographer Ryan Coit, producer and author Keith “Margie” Pederson, and multimedia producer Richard Louprasong have all contributed their time and talent to the project.

Here’s how the Face of HIV describes itself:

This is a project intended to bring the rich and diverse stories of Minnesotans living with HIV and AIDS to a living document beginning with a coffee table book. From there we intend to use multimedia and the vast reach of the Internet to communicate these stories. By doing so, we will demonstrate that HIV is preventable and those living with HIV or AIDS are everyday folk. This is ultimately a project to educate and support people living with or affected by HIV.

To support the Face of HIV, the group has set up an Indie Gogo page and is hoping to raise $6,000.
