Sunday, the Human Rights Campaign ran a full-page ad in the Star-Tribune calling on Target and Best Buy to donate to “groups that support candidates who will put all Minnesota families first and fulfill the promises of our highest ideals.”

The open letter in the ad outlines a much more agressive position on the donations issue than the HRC had previously held. Since last week, however, a boycott campaign by local LGBT rights activist Randi Reitan has taken off as community anger grows.
