Today, attorneys in the Perry v. Schwarzenegger case challenging the legality and constitutionality of California’s Proposition 8 present their closing arguments in what may turn out to be the most important LGBT rights case of the century. Last week, federal Judge Vaughn Walker issued a list of 39 questions to lawyers for both sides to address in their arguments, probing deeply and broadly into the many issues surrounding the case, suggesting that Walker’s final decision will resonate throughout the country.
