The National: Constance McMillen Tricked Into Fake Prom

While Constance McMillen and a few of her fellow students showed up at an alternative prom announced last Tuesday by the Itawamba County Agricultural High School’s attorney, the rest of her class went to a private, parent-organized prom at a local community center, leaving McMillen and six other students with nothing but an empty gym. The ACLU says they are still gathering information about what happened, and may include the events in their damages suit against the district, but it appears that their options are limited, unless they can prove the school district was complicit in setting up the decoy prom.
