Minnesota’s newest gay men’s chorus is growing.

The Fargo-Moorhead Gay Men’s Chorus (FMGMC) is having its kickoff event on April 6th at the Fargo Theatre with an intermission by the Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus (TCGMC). The event features FMGMC’s first big concert with the TCGMC presenting selections from their current show “I am Harvey Milk.”

The Fargo-Moorhead troupe formed late last year and continues to grow. The chorus had it’s first public show in at First Congregational United Church in Christ in February.

The chorus is “A group of Gay/Bi/Supportive Men/male identified in the Fargo/Moorhead area who love to sing and want to share our talents with our community.”

The mission is “to create musical experiences that enrich our members, challenge homophobia, and expose new communities to our message of equality. We create concerts to move us, entertain us, and make us think. Using music to change images and attitudes, build a stronger community, and make the world a better place!”

For those interested in joining, the chorus holds rehearsals every Sunday from 5 to 7pm at First Congregational UCC in Fargo.

Fans can check out the chorus on Facebook or at their new website.

And of course, check out the chorus’ first big show on Sunday.
