Rep. Michele Bachmann was the founder of the anti-gay marriage amendment that is slated for the 2012 ballot in Minnesota, and her former staffers are now working to pass it.

Dump Bachmann reports that Andy Parrish, Bachmann’s former chief of staff, has joined Minnesota for Marriage, the group working to pass the amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

In a tweet, Parrish said, “Looking forward to starting my new job today! I will be working on passing the marriage amendment here in Minnesota . Will miss being at home with my wife and kids!”

Ken Avidor of DB says, “So, Andy is taking time away from his spouse and family to keep other people from getting married – WINNING!”

Minnesota for Marriage confirmed the hire on Facebook: “We are pleased to announce that long time Minnesota political veteran Andy Parrish has joined our team at Minnesota for Marriage as our Deputy Campaign Manager! Welcome aboard Andy!”

In addition to Parrish, Tim Gould, who served as Bachmann’s Constituent Services Officer, currently serves as Minnesota for Marriage’s Grassroots Director.
