Well-known University of Minnesota professor Dr. Gary Ramafedi told the Minnesota Daily that “ex-gay” group Exodus International has intentionally misrepresented his research on adolescent sexuality in their iPhone app. Ramafedi, whose work focuses primarily on HIV/AIDS, said that the conservative Christian group claimed his study on the demographics of LGBTQ youth in Minnesota showed that “many young people ‘struggle’ with homosexuality, but ‘the vast majority will turn out to be heterosexual.'”

TruthWinsOut, an LGBT group that tries to combat Exodus’ attempts to “cure” LGBT people, has launched a petition urging Apple to pull the app from its online store in response to the distortions, according to the AP.
