ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
The Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition is committed to improving health care access and the
quality of health care received by trans and gender non-conforming people through education, resources,
and advocacy.TYPE: Part Time / 10 hours
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with PWID/IDU community including: athletes using steroids, Injection drug users using street
drugs and the transgender community using hormones
• Provide Individual Case Management, 1 on 1 support, Group support, education and referrals.
• Attend shot clinic and monthly staff meetings.
• Understand Chemical Dependency, Overdose, Hepatitis C, HIV, Syringe Exchange, and Harm
Reduction
• Will work 10 to 12 hours at MTHC, provide open hours for drop in
• Work with the HIV/Hepatitis C communities- Provide Hepatitis C testing, prevention, & education
• Work directly with other collaborating agencies and staff
• Run weekly support groups (Transgender specific support group-2 hours/week and Harm Reduction
Group)
• Collect data
• Do outreach and education at agency events, during open hours and one on one
• keyboarding and computer applicationsEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with issues that include HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, active
substance use, poverty, homelessness, commercial sex work and mental health
• CPR/ first aid
• Human anatomy, physiology, and pathology knowledge
• Experience in pre-hospital emergency care, nursing, medical assistance, phlebotomy or the delivery of
Intramuscular Injections.
• Commitment to harm reduction philosophy and experience delivering low-threshold, easily accessible
services to injection drug users
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong public speaking skills and experience facilitating groups

Development Associate

• Manage team implementation of fundraising strategies for three individual entities of OutFront MN (OutFront Minnesota, OutFront Minnesota Community Services, and OutFront Minnesota Action PAC)
• Prepare monthly reports and tracking for online and offline donations
• Work with Operations Director to plan and staff statewide fund-raising events, including building state-wide relationships, coordinating event logistics, and targeting donors and solicitations
• Create online fund-raising solicitations and campaigns utilizing multiple online platforms including social media and EmailNow/Network for Good
• Manage grant program including drafting proposals, identifying new grant opportunities, and coordinating roles of other staff in developing proposals
• Work parallel with Executive Director to manage call time and major donor cultivationEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Passionate commitment to LGBTQ equality
• Strong written and interpersonal skills with capacity to represent the organization to diverse audience
• 2-5 years development experience, including political, non-profit and/or campaign fundraising
• Ability and willingness to work occasional extended/varied hours, including selected evenings/weekends
• Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively
• Comfort and proficiency working with computers and databases; experience with Sage Fundraising 50 (donor tracking) and EmailNow/Network for Good (email management) preferred but not required

Organizing Director
The Organizing Director reports to the Executive Director is responsible for OutFront Minnesota’s program of organizing, educating and moving people to create change for stronger LGBT families and rights. Working within OutFront Minnesota’s strategic plan, the Organizing Director identifies opportunities to work for LGBT equality and racial justice and builds community by maintaining contacts and facilitating communication within diverse groups including communities of faith, communities of color, nonprofit organizations, workplaces, and youth.

Responsibilities
* Work with Executive and other staff to develop organizing strategy based on OutFront Minnesota’s legislative objectives and identified community needs
* Develop workshops and educational trainings to provide a call to action to community members
* Plan and produce community events such as rallies and protests when conditions warrant. Participate in the planning and production of OutFront Minnesota’s major organizing events, Lobby Day and Twin Cities Pride
