Nick and Eddie on Harmon Place is beginning a new venture this Sunday in the Parish Lounge. We know the Twin Cities has had a love affair with burlesque for some time.
As a result, there are countless shows and performers to bring to the stage. Polly FunkChanel is one of them. The Parish is being envisioned by the owners as a nightclub spot fashioned many in NYC. The concept behind the cabaret – beginning this Sunday and continuing each Sunday night thereafter for an indefinite run at this point – is to have your server/bartender step away from that role to perform a set of cabaret in between taking your orders and freshening your libations. Not the easiest work, but something we have not seen to my knowledge in this neck of the woods. The idea reminds me of the wonderful times I have had at “Don’t Tell Mama!” in Manhattan. I had the opportunity to chat with Polly about the show and other upcoming performances at the Parish. Take a listen and then think about seeing this talented performer at the debut this Sunday, December 5, 2010. Best of all they will have food and drink specials and NO COVER!
Love & Peace,
Margie
