MPR: Does the debate over same-sex marriage have a place in Minnesota politics?

0

Minnesota Public Radio asked listeners last week, “Does the debate over same-sex marriage have a place in Minnesota politics?” According to Eric Ringham, MPR’s commentary editor, most of the responses supported same-sex marriage, although many thought there were more important issues facing the state. “They think it’s not really an issue, its being used as a wedge issue,” he said. “We got really only one outright answer in bold opposition to same-sex marriage. Most of them seem to be sympathetic to same-sex marriage.” The question will also be posed to gubernatorial candidates this week.
