This edgy performance art cabaret features the Twin Cities’ best as well as newcomers in traditional Drag and burlesque, with live music, boi-lesque, modern dance, video and visual art, and lip-synching in enticing and exciting hilarity.

A few more bombastic terms to describe DDD include but are not limited to: sexy, radical, entertaining, titillating, kinky and weird. We perform 5 times a year at the Bryant-Lake Bowl!

bayard

Out for Equity’s Queer & Trans Youth Leadership Program presents this fabulous event about queer &/or trans leaders within different black power movements. First will be a screening of the documentary Brother Outsider: the Life of Bayard Rustin about the architect of the Civil Rights Movement. Then a panel discussion with young, black, queer &/or trans leaders from the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

We’ll be focusing not only on the movements themselves but also what it’s like to be black and have queer &/or trans identities in an arena that’s not focused on those identities. Are leaders able to bring their full selves to their movement work? How has it or hasn’t it changed from Bayard’s time to present day?

We’ll be welcoming young leaders from the #BlackLivesMatters movement including:
Jobi Adams, Adja Gildersleve, Mica Grimm & Michael McDowell
This event is OPEN TO THE WHOLE COMMUNITY and is free for all. This will be held in the MULTICULTURAL RESOURCE CENTER.

Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Brought to you by Out for Equity’s Queer & Trans Youth Leadership Program & the Multicultural Resource Center
