[sws_yellow_box box_size=”100″] Girl Gumshoe & Detective Dad By Eli Effinger-Weintraub [/sws_yellow_box]

girlgumshoe

Gina views moving day as a flag on the shores of maturity and independence. Too bad her father, Troy, makes immaturity and dependence so exciting. While Gina’s mother Irene and girlfriend Sarita do the bulk of the work, Troy and Gina indulge in one last round of Girl Gumshoe and Detective Dad, a game from Gina’s childhood. But when Detective Dad thinks he’s uncovered a murder, the game takes a turn that threatens relationships, living arrangements, and sanity and forces Gina to choose between security and adventure, past and future. Girl Gumshoe and Detective Dad is a comedy that proves it’s never too late to grow up–or to avoid growing up at all costs. Girl Gumshoe will be produced at the People’s Center Theatre on the West Bank of Minneapolis, and runs October 17th-26th.

This phenomenal cast sees returning Gadfly actors G Zachariah WhiteandLauren Diesch in the title roles. Twin Cities local favorites Kathryn Fumieand Fawn Wilderson-Legros, and returning to the stage, Kate Kunkel Bailey, round out this cast of hilarious and heartbreaking characters.

Tickets to Girl Gumshoe and Detective Dad are sliding scale between $12 and $25 for a regular show, and features three Pay-What-You-Can performances where advance purchase through Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/881798) will be possible.
