AKA: Fathers/Sons is a series of multidisciplinary, interactive performative conversations produced by Bedlam Theatre with Harry Waters Jr., Kevin “Kaoz” Moore, and Jordon Waters exploring intergenerational relationships among gay, straight, and queer fathers and sons in communities of color.
Join OutFront Minnesota for this special performance at 6pm on Thursday, July 17 at Pillsbury House Theatre, 3501 Chicago Avenue South, Minneapolis.,
If you saw 2011′s Queertopia, you may already be excited to see the next evolution for the umbrellas. Harry, Jordon, and Kevin have returned to re-investigate the depths of these meaningful relationships and how they have transformed since the original creation of this piece. From community organizations to schools, the performers engage participants in a performative conversation about what it means to be a Black man in familial and community intersections.
In July 2014, AKA: Fathers/Sons will tour their performative conversations to seven community partners. Admission is free. Masculine-identified people of color are encouraged to attend.

COMING TO THE TWIN CITIES July 18 & 19!
Act Up Theatre brings the pulsating rock score and emotionally charged story of BARE to the New Century Theatre, Minneapolis, before its next stop- the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
BARE has thrilled and moved audiences around the world since its first staging in Los Angeles over a decade ago. A contemporary rock musical, BARE follows a group of teens wrestling with issues of identity, sexuality and religion at a co-ed Catholic boarding school.
Provocative, raw and unyielding in its exploration of how today’s generation navigates the tightrope between adolescence and adulthood, BARE examines the consequences of baring a soul, or hiding it from those who matter.
