Tell us about your form of art, performance or work.

I have been a member of the MN Theatre community for 15 years and am currently a member of the AEA.  Besides that, I am the president and head designer of  W&S Design, Inc.  A custom design firm catering to homes and business in the Twin Cities area.  My personal specialty is in seasonal container design.

Where and how can the general public view, participate in, or purchase your work?

Group shotI have been very involved in the theatre community in the Twin Cities at venues such as Chanhassen DT, the Ordway, Pantages, and the Old Log.  I will be at the Old Log later this Summer in a show called, “Life Could Be A Dream.”  As for my design work, people can find out more about W&S Design, Inc at www.wsdesigninc.vpweb.com.

Tell us a little about your inspiration. What inspires you?

I am inspired by the beauties of nature and my surroundings, my dogs, and of course my friends and family.  I love creating art in many forms.  Dance and voice have always been what I have always been remembered for.  And now, as my life grows, my interests in design, plants, and outdoor living is a new passion that I am just beginning to enjoy.

Tell us about one piece, work, or performance about which you are particularly proud?

As an artist who likes to make his living doing art, I have often done shows that although fun, were not emotionally stimulating.  It comes with the job.  However, a while back I had the pleasure of coming into the cast of “Hairspray” at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, not only was it fun and entertaining.  I spoke to the young and old both on stage and off about real issues that we still see today.  Sometimes it was just fun, and other times it brought me to tears.  That show was a gift, and I’ll always remember it and its amazing cast.
