We are very excited to be having a closing reception for Katies current art show at Cafe Southside.
We are also very excited to have this coincide with the second Thursday events on 38th and Chicago.
The current works at southside are some of Katies most recent endevours in her amazing portfolio of work.
Come on over to cafe southside and visit us from 5-7pm on Thursday December 12th and make a night out of it and don’t forget to visit the other great businesses that support the arts in our neighborhood: Covet consign and design and Fox Egg Gallery- second Thursdays are for the arts southside

Join us for Out at the Movies presentation of SOUTHERN BAPTIST SISSIES

The St Anthony Main Theater will be newly renovated in time for our event.

Southern Baptist Sissies is a play written by Del Shores, the creator of Sordid Lives. It is the story of four gay boys who grew up in the Southern Baptist church and the different journey each one takes in coming to terms with their own homosexuality versus what they were taught by the church. Mark becomes a writer, questioning everything. Benny embraces who he is and becomes a drag queen entertainer. T.J. attempts to live as the church tells him to and tries to be straight. Andrew, the most troubled sissy of all, believes the message that there is something truly wrong with who he is and he takes his own life.
Tickets are $10 in advance – $15 at the door.
