Is Jim the Election Guy, Rep. Michele Bachmann current campaign as spokester a fan favorite with the gays? That was the speculation on Twitter last week. Bachmann’s campaign hired Maryland actor Beau Peregino whose portfolio includes some shirtless photos by photographer John Remus.

Peregino made his debut in Bachmann’s ads as Jim the Election Guy and has appeared in three Bachmann ads so far.

Some have suggested he’s taken a “wide stance.”

Remus has many other images of Peregino at his website.

So, is Peregino a gay favorite? Or does his appearance in the ads of a politician whose views of LGBT people are very negative affect his attractiveness?
