The Duluth News Tribune talks about the Unitarian church and how LGBT Duluthians are finding acceptance in the religion.
Michael Campion, a psychologist formerly contracted by Minneapolis to screen police offers, had his contract terminated in 2006 after it was discovered that he had ties to anti-gay groups and had written a paper 30 years ago about how to turn gays into straights. The city says it was a performance issue. Campion complained by suing the city, so the city gave him $210,000. The Star Tribune has the story.
A young cyclist is making a 1,300 mile journey for LGBT equality. Her journey started in Minneapolis and ends on Setp. 18 in Dallas. Out in America has a nice profile piece on Danielle Girdano, who is very likely exhausted by now.

Duluth-Superior Pride was help over the weekend and Fox 21 reports that many politicians marched in Sunday’s parade. Northland’s News Center has bit about Saturday’s festival which was themed “Do Ask, Do Tell.” Organizers say next year’s 25th festival will be bigger and better than ever.
