Twin Cities Pride is looking for artists to submit their work in the One Heart, One World, One Pride exhibition coming up in May.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Twin Cities Pride and The Art Institutes International Minnesota is accepting submissions from artists for One Heart, One World, One Pride a juried exhibition running from May 8 – June 10, 2010.

NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

Submission Guidelines:

All entrants must pay a $25.00 entry fee (Made payable to The Ai Minnesota Foundation). Please mail the entry fee to AIM, Attn Terry Williams, 15 South 9th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

Only two-dimensional work will be accepted. So, please, no sculpture! Work that does not comply will not be reviewed.

Only those who, if accepted, can hand deliver and pickup their work may apply.

Each artist may submit three works for consideration. Do not submit in excess of three; only will be considered by the committee. Entries will be accepted via email only. Your submission is not considered complete until both your digital submission and entry fee have been received. The deadline for the digital submission is March 29, 2010. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Selected pieces are due by April 29, 2010. If selected, all work must be framed, wired, and ready to hang. The Gallery uses flourettes hangers to install works.

In the body of your email, you must include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, entry number (corresponding to the attached files), title of work medium (ink jet print, offset litho, etc) and framed size.

Files should be no larger than 600px on their widest side and no more than 96ppi.Naming protocol: LastName_FirstInitial_001 (number will correspond to the list in the body of the email.

While the greatest care will be used in the handling of artworks, The Art Institutes International and its employees will accept no liability for damaged or stolen works while on the premises of The Art Institutes International Minnesota. It is recommended that arts obtain their own insurance, should this be of concern.

The gallery reserves the right to not display any works that are not finished in a professional manner with regard to framing, or do not accurately replicate the submitted work.

Celebrating its 38th year in 2010, Twin Cities Pride, the organizer of the Twin Cities Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual-Transgender (GLBT) Pride Celebration, began in 1972 with a small group of activists meeting for a picnic in Minneapolis’ Loring Park and a short march down Nicollet Mall. Over the intervening years, the Twin Cities Pride Celebration has grown to be the largest GLBT Pride Celebration in the region and 3rd largest in the United States, with an estimated combined attendance of more than 450,000 people at six events. Twin Cities Pride is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
