A bigoted school district in Mississippi denied Constance McMillen the chance to go to her prom. In fact, the canceled prom altogether in order to prevent her and her girlfriend from attending and are instead hosting a private prom. But, advocates in Mississippi have sprung into action to support McMillen. And we can support them by making a donation to the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition.
Constance McMillen was denied the opportunity to attend prom with her girlfriend.
Press ReleaseUnfortunately this story is all too familiar in Mississippi. The ACLU of Mississippi is working with Constance to get the official school prom reinstated.
