The Onion: Minnesota bill would ban loveless marriages

Though Minnesota’s same-sex couples won’t likely see marriage rights anytime soon — thanks to Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s conservative, evangelical style of governing and the DFL’s hesitance to force his hand — the Onion took a crack at Pawlenty and Minnesota’s ongoing debate about marriage. The Onion proposes a ban on loveless marriages in Minnesota, which could invalidate up to 53 percent of unions in the state.
