This weekend, Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood will be getting its first LGBTQ bar, and Minnesota will have its first gay sports bar when Game Sports Bar opens its doors for the first time at a block party on Friday.
Game has quite a party planned on Friday. Gay country artist Steve Grand will perform and gay bobsledder and 2018 Olympic hopeful Simon Dunn will be on hand as well. Game has announced that DJ Shiek will be the bar’s resident DJ and she’ll be providing the block party’s soundtrack.

Gates for the block party open at 4pm. The celebration runs from 6 to 10pm. Game is located at 2841 Hennepin Ave S.
