Northern ‘Burbs Youth Pride, formerly Anoka Youth Pride, will be held Tuesday, August 11 at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park at pavilions 1, 2, and 3. The event runs from 4:30 to 8:30pm.

The free event will feature games, door prizes, face painting, crafts, food and entertainment, as well as an information fair with community organizations that serve youth.

At 6pm, the event will feature youth performances, and the Minnesota Freedom Jazz Band will perform at 7pm.

In its 5th year, the event was previously known as Anoka Youth Pride. Northern ‘Burbs Youth Pride is organized by Justin’s Gift, an organization dedicated to “empowering programming for all youth – with a particular focus on supporting those youth who feel as if they ‘don’t fit in’ or who have been a target of bullying or harassment.”
