Altered Esthetics is proud to present Kurt Hippauf: A Solo Exhibition at the Nomad World Pub in Minneapolis. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, February 5th, and the event is free and open to public. The exhibition will be on view until April 6th.

Painting from photos and illustrations he collects – pages torn from magazines, jpegs looted from the internet, snapshots taken long ago – Kurt Hippauf presents a series of evocative images rendered in serene colors and graceful brushstrokes. His paintings are like a journal, a reflection of the artist’s mind and heart.

Kurt Hippauf had been interested in art from a very early age, always drawing and spending countless Saturdays at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where he grew up. He received BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and was a member of the Boston Visual Artists Union and The Copley Society where his work was exhibited. After working as a database administrator in Houston, Texas, for many years, Hippauf moved to Minneapolis in 2000 to be closer to family, and he has been painting continuously since then.
