A new “gay-centric” dance music station is coming to the airwaves in the southeast Twin Cities metro.

“Pride Radio,” part of iHeartmedia, formerly called Clear Channel, is a nationally programmed music radio station playing popular gay dance club hits.

The network was launched in 2006 and has been brought to Washington, DC, Boston, MA, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Dallas, TX, San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Syracuse, New York, Atlanta, GA, and Hartford, CT

The Twin Cities’ Pride Radio station is broadcast on 96.7 FM via translator originating from the signal of KQQL (KOOL 108) (also part of iHeartmedia).

The company has applied to move the signal from West St. Paul to a broadcast from the top of the IDS Tower in downtown Minneapolis.

The most current playlist is a mix of club music and top 40 hits.
