Prairie Fire Lady Choir – Women’s Choir
Minnesota Shapenote Singers – Participatory American Singing Tradition
Vukalana – Gender-bending Electro-Acoustic
Murder of Bros – Acapella 90s Grunge Covers
Sarah Larsson (Nightinggale Trio) & Friends – Eastern European Harmonies
Named for the Latin word for “voice,” VOX Cabaret is a one-night event bringing together six acts focused on the human curiosity of how we make meaning from the voice.
Solo artists Desdamona & Vukalana, both known for their distinctive vocals, appear alongside choral groups preserving Eastern European & American choral traditions, and two groups (one ladies, one gents) covering contemporary pop with a style all their own.
VOX Cabaret is the first in an all-new series of Concept Cabarets featuring acts around a common theme. Check out the Performers page at patrickscabaret.org to learn about upcoming events and how to get involved. This show is hosted by Scott Artley, Patrick’s Cabaret Performing Arts Curator.
