Klobuchar to vote for DOMA repeal

0

On Tuesday, state Sen. Scott Dibble of Minneapolis said he spoke with Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s staff and that she would vote for a measure that would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act.

“I have spoken directly with Amy Klobuchar’s State Director,” Dibble wrote on Facebook. “Senator Klobuchar will be voting for the repeal of DOMA in the Senate Judiciary Committee.”

Klobuchar had previously been undecided along with Wisconsin Sen. Herb Kohl. The bill will be taken up by the Senate Judiciary Committee this year and without Klobuchar would be two votes short.
