This place is just oh-so-sad. I've given it a shot five or six times, but have been sorely disappointed. Unless they totally revamp the place, I'm done. From the somewhat chintzy decor and finishes to the inferior-quality sound system, this place lacks in many areas. Great that they've got an all-transgender revue, but it seems to be more of a (and I'm putting this nicely) "hip-hop" type of crowd; not typically the kind of crowd us gay folk want to hang around. Half of the staff is decent, the other half of the staff is just plain rude. (Mainly, the owner and "general manager." Maybe it's because she's pregnant? I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.) If your staff, or owner, is going to eat while on the clock, maybe he or she should do it in the basement. Nearly every time I've been in the place, an employee has been chowing down on pizza right in the middle of the bar. Certainly not "New York Chic." So, Dear Owner, keep on trying, but you're going to have to do something major to rocket this bar from the 80's (i.e. decor) into 2010.

What a joke. The place looks like it's decorated for a high school prom. And only 2 beers? Please. Would you like Miller Lite or Miller Lite? But, what are we to expect from a tacky drag queen owner...

If you're looking for "chic," check the new Happy Hour at the 90's or the newly-remodeled Brass Rail. Or, try LUSH in NE Mpls.
